[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [H.R. 1689 Engrossed in House (EH)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session H. R. 1689 _______________________________________________________________________ AN ACT To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to designate Haiti for temporary protected status. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. DESIGNATION OF HAITI FOR TEMPORARY PROTECTED STATUS. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of Homeland Security shall designate Haiti for temporary protected status until the date that is 3 months after January 20, 2029. Passed the House of Representatives April 16, 2026. Attest: Clerk. 119th CONGRESS 2d Session H. R. 1689 _______________________________________________________________________ AN ACT To require the Secretary of Homeland Security to designate Haiti for temporary protected status.
