A BILL
To amend title 49, United States Code, to provide eligibility for
Federal law enforcement officers for certain expedited security
screening, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Federal Agents Secure Travel Act''
or the ``FAST Act''.
SEC. 2. ELIGIBILITY FOR FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS FOR CERTAIN
EXPEDITED SECURITY SCREENING.
Section 44919 of title 49, United States Code is amended--
(1) by redesignating subsections (j), (k), and (l) as
subsections (k), (l), and (m), respectively; and
(2) by inserting after subsection (i) the following new
subsection:
``(j) Eligibility of Federal Law Enforcement Officers for Expedited
Security Screening.--
``(1) In general.--Subject to paragraph (3), an individual
specified in paragraph (2) is eligible for expedited security
screening under the PreCheck Program at no cost to such
individual.
``(2) Individuals specified.--An individual specified in
this subsection is any of the following:
``(A) A Federal law enforcement officer.
``(B) A family member of an individual specified in
subparagraph (A) who is younger than 12 years old and
accompanying the individual.
``(3) Implementation.--The eligibility of an individual
specified in paragraph (2) for expedited security screening
under the PreCheck Program is subject to such policies and
procedures as the Administrator may prescribe to carry out this
subsection.
``(4) Definition.--In this subsection, the term `Federal
law enforcement officer' has the meaning given such term in
section 2 of the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery
Act of 2008 (34 U.S.C. 50301).''.
