R. 8848 To amend title 10, United States Code, to include the National Guard Relief Foundation in the definition of ``military welfare society'' in certain laws administered by the Secretaries of the military departments. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES May 15, 2026 Mr. Finstad (for himself and Mr. Sorensen) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Armed Services _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend title 10, United States Code, to include the National Guard Relief Foundation in the definition of ``military welfare society'' in certain laws administered by the Secretaries of the military departments. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``National Guard Relief Act''. SEC. 2. INCLUSION OF NATIONAL GUARD RELIEF FOUNDATION AS A MILITARY WELFARE SOCIETY. Title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in section 1033(b)(2), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: ``(E) The National Guard Relief Foundation.''; and (2) in section 2566(b)(1), by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: ``(E) The National Guard Relief Foundation.''. <all>
