R. 9205IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVESJune 8, 2026Mr. Subramanyam (for himself, Ms. Norton, Mr. Moulton, Mr. Johnson of Georgia, Mrs. Hayes, Mr. Beyer, Mr. Frost, and Ms. Craig) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on the JudiciaryA BILLTo expand the Gun Free School Zones Act, and for other purposes. 1.Short title This Act may be cited as the Protect Every Preschooler Act of 2026. 2.Expansion of the Gun Free School Zones ActSection 921(a)(27) of title 18, United States Code, is amended— (1)by striking means a school which and inserting the following: means— (A)a school which; (2)by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and (3)by adding at the end the following: (B)an early childhood education program (as defined in section 103 of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1003)); and (C)a preschool (which has the meaning given the term eligible preschool program in section 428K(g) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1078–11(g)))..
