A BILL
To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to create and maintain a
publicly accessible database that contains information about each
criminal alien who is released from custody, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Worst of the Worst Act''.
SEC. 2. PUBLIC DATABASE OF RELEASED CRIMINAL ALIENS.
Section 236(c) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C.
1226(c)) is amended by adding at the end the following:
``(5) Public database.--
``(A) In general.--Not later than 180 days after
the date of enactment of this paragraph, the Secretary
of Homeland Security, acting through the Director of
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, shall create
and maintain a publicly accessible database that
includes, for each alien described in paragraph (1) who
is released from custody under this subsection, the
following:
``(i) A photograph of the alien.
``(ii) The name of the alien.
``(iii) A general physical description of
the alien, including height and weight.
``(iv) The jurisdiction where the alien was
released.
``(v) The date on which the alien was
released.
``(vi) The subparagraph under paragraph (1)
in which the alien is described.
``(B) Searchability.--The database created under
subparagraph (A) shall be searchable by the name of the
alien released from custody and the name of the
jurisdiction where the alien was released.''.
