introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on
the Judiciary

A BILL
To change the name of the United States Secret Service Uniformed
Division to the United States Secret Service Police.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Officer Leslie Coffelt U.S. Secret
Service Police Act of 2026''.
SEC. 2. UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE POLICE.
(a) Title 2.--Section 201 of the District of Columbia Police and
Firemen's Salary Act Amendments of 1970 (2 U.S.C. 1942) is amended by
striking ``Uniformed Division'' and inserting ``Police'' each place it
appears.
(b) Title 5.--Title 5, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in chapter 102--
(A) in the header, by striking ``UNIFORMED
DIVISION'' and inserting ``POLICE''; and
(B) in sections 10201, 10202, and 10203, by
striking ``Uniformed Division'' and inserting
``Police'' each place it appears;
(2) in section 4521, by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police'' each place it appears;
(3) in section 5102, by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police'' each place it appears;
(4) in section 6324, by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police'' each place it appears; and
(5) in section 7103, by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police'' each place it appears.
(c) Title 10.--Section 2674 of title 10, United States Code, is
amended by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and inserting ``Police''
each place it appears.
(d) Title 18.--Title 18, United States Code, is amended--
(1) in section 3056A--
(A) in the header by striking ``Uniformed
Division'' and inserting ``Police''; and
(B) by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police'' each place it appears; and
(2) in section 709, by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and
inserting ``Police''.
(e) Title 28.--Section 540C of title 28, United States Code, is
amended by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and inserting ``Police''
each place it appears.
(f) Title 31.--Section 1537 of title 31, United States Code, is
amended by striking ``Uniformed Division'' and inserting ``Police''
each place it appears.
