RES. 1564 Recognizing September 17, 2026, as National Teach Ag Day. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 17, 2026 Mr. Mann (for himself, Mr. Panetta, Mr. Feenstra, Mr. Rose, Mr. Smith of Nebraska, Mr. Van Orden, Mr. Austin Scott of Georgia, Ms. Bonamici, Mr. Bost, Mr. Jackson of Texas, Mr. Thompson of Pennsylvania, Mr. Kelly of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Cammack, Mr. Costa, Mr. Ellzey, Ms. Letlow, Mr. Davis of North Carolina, Mrs. Miller of Illinois, Mr. Moolenaar, Mr. Balderson, Ms. De La Cruz, and Ms. Budzinski) submitted the following resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Agriculture _______________________________________________________________________ RESOLUTION Recognizing September 17, 2026, as National Teach Ag Day. Whereas agricultural education and the National FFA Organization change lives and prepare students for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success; Whereas in the United States, more than 11,000 agricultural educators across all 50 States, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands teach students about agriculture, food, and natural resources; Whereas the National Association of Agricultural Educators advances agricultural education and promotes the professional interests and growth of agricultural educators, as well as recruits and prepares students who have a desire to teach agriculture; Whereas current and future agricultural educators will celebrate ``National Teach Ag Day'' on September 17, 2026: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives-- (1) supports the designation of ``National Teach Ag Day''; and (2) recognizes the important role of agricultural education and the National FFA Organization in developing the next generation of agricultural leaders who will change the world. <all>
