Plain-English Summary

This bill would likely strengthen civics education in American schools by requiring or encouraging students to learn more about how government works, the Constitution, and citizens' rights and responsibilities. The goal appears to be ensuring young people graduate with a solid understanding of how to participate in democracy and engage with their communities. The bill has been sent to the Senate committee that handles education policy for further review.
