Plain-English Summary
This bill would fund programs that restore fish populations and wildlife habitats, improve boating safety on waterways, and support recreational fishing opportunities across the country. The money would come from existing excise taxes on fishing and boating equipment, and would be distributed to states for conservation projects, boat safety education, and public access to fishing areas. Anglers, boaters, wildlife enthusiasts, and state fish and wildlife agencies would be the main beneficiaries of these conservation and safety programs.
