[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [S. 4283 Introduced in Senate (IS)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 4283 To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize a public health and bio-preparedness workforce loan repayment program. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES April 14, 2026 Ms. Baldwin (for herself and Ms. Collins) introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend the Public Health Service Act to reauthorize a public health and bio-preparedness workforce loan repayment program. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Public Health and Bio-Preparedness Workforce Loan Repayment Reauthorization Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. REAUTHORIZATION OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND BIO-PREPAREDNESS WORKFORCE LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM. Section 776(i) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 295f- 1(i)) is amended by striking ``fiscal years 2023 through 2025'' and inserting ``fiscal years 2027 through 2031''. <all>
