[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [S. 5596 Introduced in Senate (IS)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 5596 To modify provisions related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES September 29, 2026 Mr. Banks introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Armed Services _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To modify provisions related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Military DEI Repeal Act of 2026''. SEC. 2. MODIFICATION OF PROVISIONS RELATED TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION. (a) Diversity Requirements for Selection Boards.--Title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in section 573(b), by striking the last sentence; (2) in section 612(a)(1), by striking the last sentence; and (3) in section 14102(b), by striking the last sentence. (b) Pronoun Policy Repeal.--Section 986 of title 10, United States Code, is repealed. (c) Human Relations Training.--Section 2001(a)(1)(B) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking ``include'' and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting ``include honor, excellence, courage, and commitment.''. <all>
