Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Protecting Presidential Memorials Act''. SEC. 2. PROHIBITION OF DEMOLITION OF PRESIDENTIAL MEMORIALS. (a) Definition of Demolish.--In this section, the term ``demolish'' means the intentional razing, destroying, or wrecking of an entire building or structure or a substantial portion of a building or structure. (b) Prohibition.--A memorial to honor a President of the United States designated by an Act of Congress may not be demolished unless authorized by an Act of Congress.
