Mr. Booker introduced the following bill; which was read twice and
referred to the Committee on Armed Services

A BILL
To prohibit the use of Federal funds to rename, redesignate, or
otherwise change the name of the vessel designated as CVN-81 from the
``USS Doris Miller''.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Maintaining Integrity of Military
Legacy and Enduring Recognition Act'' or the ``MILLER Act''.
SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON USE OF FUNDS TO RENAME, REDESIGNATE, OR
OTHERWISE CHANGE THE NAME OF CVN-81 FROM USS DORIS
MILLER.
No Federal funds may be obligated or expended to rename,
redesignate, or otherwise change the name of the vessel designated as
CVN-81 from the ``USS Doris Miller''.
