Plain-English Summary
Firefighters and other emergency workers who battle wildfires would receive new protections and support, likely including improved safety standards, better equipment, or enhanced benefits for those injured or killed on the job. The legislation aims to address the unique dangers these responders face during increasingly severe fire seasons. Workers in wildfire suppression and their families would be the primary beneficiaries of these protections.
