R. 10070 To amend title 5, United States Code, to expand the eligibility of border patrol agents for certain overtime pay, and for other purposes. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES August 10, 2026 Mr. Barr (for himself and Mr. McGuire) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend title 5, United States Code, to expand the eligibility of border patrol agents for certain overtime pay, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Border Patrol Overtime Parity Act''. SEC. 2. EXPANSION OF ELIGIBILITY FOR CERTAIN OVERTIME PAY FOR BORDER PATROL AGENTS. Section 5550(h) of title 5, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in the subsection heading, by striking ``GS-12''; and (2) in paragraph (1), by striking ``encumbering a position at grade GS-12''. <all>
