Plain-English Summary

The bill would establish new infection prevention and control standards for military medical facilities to protect veterans and service members from healthcare-associated infections. It likely requires the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs to implement stricter protocols, training, and monitoring systems in hospitals and clinics where military personnel receive care. Veterans and active-duty service members would benefit from improved safety measures designed to reduce the risk of catching infections during medical treatment.
