R. 8234 To amend Public Law 119-21 to repeal the budget neutrality requirement for certain Medicaid demonstration projects. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES April 9, 2026 Ms. Pettersen (for herself and Mr. Van Drew) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend Public Law 119-21 to repeal the budget neutrality requirement for certain Medicaid demonstration projects. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Save Money, Save Lives Act''. SEC. 2. REPEALING BUDGET NEUTRALITY REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN MEDICAID DEMONSTRATION PROJECTS. (a) In General.--Section 71118 of the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14'' (Public Law 119-21) is repealed and section 1115 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1315) shall be applied as if such section had not been enacted. (b) Rescission.--The amounts appropriated under section 71118(b) of the Act titled ``An Act to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of H. Con. Res. 14'' (Public Law 119-21) are hereby rescinded. <all>
