Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Pathway to Trades Act''. SEC. 2. AGREEMENTS WITH INSTITUTIONS FOR FEDERAL PERKINS LOANS. Section 463(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 1087cc(a)) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (8), by striking ``and'' at the end; (2) by redesignating paragraph (9) as paragraph (10); and (3) by inserting after paragraph (8) the following: ``(9) provide that the institution of higher education will-- ``(A) designate a faculty member as a point of contact for students studying, or interested in studying, trades; and ``(B) develop courses for students relating to trades; and''. <all>
