[Congressional Bills 119th Congress] [From the U.S. Government Publishing Office] [S. 5340 Introduced in Senate (IS)] <DOC> 119th CONGRESS 2d Session S. 5340 To require a drone posture review. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE SENATE OF THE UNITED STATES August 6, 2026 Ms. Slotkin introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on Armed Services _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To require a drone posture review. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. DRONE POSTURE REVIEW. (a) In General.--The Secretary of Defense shall conduct a drone posture review for uncrewed aerial, ground, surface, and undersea vehicles and their enabling systems, including an identification of gaps in the capability of United States forces and the vulnerabilities of United States forces to foreign uncrewed systems. (b) Report.--Not later than March 1, 2027, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report that includes the findings of the review required under subsection (a). <all>
