Mr. SCHATZ submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle E of title III, add the following: SEC. 358. DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE HERITAGE AND CULTURAL RESOURCES COMPLIANCE. Section 2694(b)(2)(C) of title 10, United States Code, is amended-- (1) by striking ``Native American human'' and inserting ``Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian human''; and (2) by striking ``Native American tribes.'' and inserting ``entity in accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriations Act (25 U.S.C. 3001 et seq.).''. ______
