Mr. KELLY submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. _____. PROHIBITION ON USE OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR PAYMENTS OF CLAIMS TO THE BENEFIT OF THE PRESIDENT. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no funds made available under this Act or any other Act may be used by the Department of Justice or any other Executive agency to negotiate or reach a compromise settlement with a sitting President relating to a claim made by the President against the United States Government for monetary damages or other compensation. SEC. _____. SUSPENSION ON THE TRANSFER OR USE OF FEDERAL FUNDS FOR PAYMENT OF CLAIMS SUBMITTED TO ANTI- WEAPONIZATION FUND. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, during the period beginning on the date of enactment of this Act and ending on January 20, 2033, no Federal funds, including funds appropriated under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code, may be-- (1) transferred to or used to administer the Anti- Weaponization Fund, or any other similar fund; or (2) otherwise used to facilitate the payment of claims made to the Anti-Weaponization Fund, or any other similar fund. ______
