Read my recent update from Congress Dear Friend, As your U.S. Senator, I want to keep you updated on the work I-m doing on your behalf in Nebraska and Washington. In this newsletter, you will find my most recent update. If you have comments or questions, please click here to send a message. Surveying wildfire damage; Senate passes my bill expediting wildfire disaster assistance As you know, we recently faced devastating wildfires-the worst in Nebraska-s history. Across the state, more than 800,000 acres burned. I was grateful U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins traveled to Nebraska to see firsthand how much damage and devastation the wildfires brought to farmers and ranchers. After surveying the damage, I returned to Washington and headed to the Senate floor. There, I asked the Senate to unanimously approve my bill, the Emergency Conservation Program Improvement Act , to expedite ag producers- access to federal disaster relief. Click below to watch my speech on the Senate floor. I-m proud this bill passed the Senate, and I-ll continue pushing to get it signed into law.
