Congressional Art Competition

My office received a TON of incredible entries for this year’s Congressional Art Competition, all celebrating America ahead of our 250th anniversary!! The winning piece will hang in the Cannon Tunnel of the U.S. Capitol for thousands to see over the next year. Congrats to this year’s winner, Claire of Catawba Ridge High School, for “Flames of Freedom.” Her piece, featuring a firefighter with the American flag behind him, captures the COURAGE and SPIRIT that define our nation. Shoutout to our runners-up: Mirren of Northwestern High School for “Dad,” and Vee of Catawba Ridge High School for “Heavens Judgement.”
