Mr. EDWARDS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today during National Police Week to honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. These officers stood on the front lines to protect our communities, uphold the rule of law, and defend the safety of our citizens, often at a great personal risk. We remember their courage, their selflessness, and their unwavering commitment to service. Behind each badge was a story, a family, and a legacy that will not be forgotten. We offer our deepest gratitude and our heartfelt condolences to the families who carry the burden of their loss. Their loved ones are heroes, and their memory will live on in our prayers and in the freedoms they helped safeguard. Let's continue to support all those who wear the badge and to honor those who gave everything to protect us. ____________________
