Senator Rick Scott Makes Third Stop of Hurricane Preparedness Tour in Titusville Ahead of 2026 Hurricane Season

TITUSVILLE, Fla. - Today, U.S. Senator Rick Scott hosted a press conference on hurricane preparedness at the Brevard County Sheriff's Office as part of his annual Hurricane Preparedness Tour across Florida ahead of the 2026 hurricane season. Senator Scott was joined by Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, representatives of the Red Cross, and several local public officials where they discussed the importance of preparation and stressed the need for the public to follow guidance from their local emergency officials during a storm. Senator Rick Scott said, "As we approach hurricane season you've got to have a plan and get an evacuation route. When local officials tell you to evacuate, you have to get out. Do not take a chance. You can rebuild homes, but you can't rebuild your life. No one up here can save your life - you have to save your own. If you don't evacuate during a storm no one can come get you, it's too dangerous. Do everything you can do right now to be prepared, and as your Senator, I will do my part to keep Florida families safe." On the federal level, Senator Scott continues to work to help Floridians prepare for and recover from any potential weather events. Last month, Sen.
