Mr. WHITEHOUSE submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 33, setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2026 and setting forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2027 through 2035; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end, add the following: TITLE V--POLICY STATEMENTS IN BOTH HOUSES SEC. 5001. POLICY STATEMENT REGARDING LIMITS ON PAYMENT OF SETTLEMENTS TO INDIVIDUALS WHO ATTEMPTED TO OVERTURN OR OTHERWISE INTERFERE WITH THE CERTIFICATION OF THE RESULTS OF THE 2020 ELECTION. It is the policy of this concurrent resolution that no Federal funds be obligated or expended for any legal settlement or reimbursement of legal fees to an individual who attempted to overturn or otherwise interfere with the certification of the results of the 2020 election, regardless of whether the individual was granted a pardon by the President. ______
