Rep. Ronny Jackson Announces Congressional Art Competition Winner

AMARILLO, Texas – Today, Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) announced the 2026 Congressional Art Competition winner for Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District. This annual nationwide competition invites high school students to showcase their artistic talents, with winning pieces displayed in the United States Capitol for one year. This year’s theme, America 250, celebrates 250 years of American freedom, liberty, and the enduring spirit that has shaped our nation. Shae Crawford of Denton, Texas, a student at Ryan High School, earned top honors for her oil pastel of an American Flag titled Still Waving . Her piece represents the courage and sacrifice of the brave Americans who have fought for generations to secure our freedoms and build this great nation. “Congratulations to Shae on winning the 2026 Congressional Art Competition for Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District,” said Rep. Ronny Jackson. “I thank everyone who took part in this year’s competition, including the teachers who helped make the contest possible, and I’m excited to see Shea’s work displayed in our Nation’s Capitol.” Since its establishment in 1982, the Congressional Art Competition has recognized and encouraged the artistic talents of high school students nationwide. This year’s competition drew dozens of entries from students across the district, representing a wide range of mediums including photography, drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and mixed media. ###
