Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 109 (Tuesday, June 30, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 109 (Tuesday, June 30, 2026)] [House] [Pages H4348-H4349] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] {time} 1800 RECOGNIZING BARRETT CARTER (Mr. CARTER of Georgia asked and was given permission to address the [[Page H4349]] House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. CARTER of Georgia. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize my middle son, Barrett Carter, a proud southeast Georgia native and accomplished PGA head golf professional. Barrett graduated from the University of Georgia before settling in the New Orleans area in 2009 where he has built an impressive career as a PGA class A professional. He has served at some of the region's premier facilities, including TPC Louisiana and Metairie Country Club, head golf professional at Oak Knoll Country Club in Hammond, and recently he was appointed as head golf professional at Bayou Oaks at City Parks in New Orleans. Most notably, Barrett is passionate about growing the game through instruction and creating welcoming programs for golfers of all ages and abilities. Barrett and his wife, Halley, live in Metairie with three precious daughters, Bennett, Catherine, and Clara. They are proud to call south Louisiana home. Although Barrett has made Louisiana his home, the First Congressional District of Georgia is proud to claim him as one of our own. Congratulations, Son. Your mother and I are very proud of you and love you very much. ____________________
