Mr. HEINRICH submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title I, insert the following: SEC. __. APPROPRIATION FOR THE SHELTER AND SERVICES PROGRAM. (a) In General.--In addition to amounts otherwise available, there is appropriated to the Secretary of Homeland Security for fiscal year 2026, out of amounts in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, $200,000,000 to remain available until September 30, 2029, for the Department of Homeland Security to provide assistance through the Shelter and Services Program. (b) Reduction in Funds.--Notwithstanding section 102, the amount appropriated under that section shall be $7,250,000,000. ______
