HONORING GENERAL CHRIS DONAHUE Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 122 (Monday, July 27, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 122 (Monday, July 27, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Page E741] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING GENERAL CHRIS DONAHUE ______ HON. RICHARD HUDSON of north carolina in the house of representatives Monday, July 27, 2026 Mr. HUDSON. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor the career of a warrior, hero, and extraordinary patriot, General Chris Donahue. General Donahue attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York and was commissioned in 1992. Throughout his prestigious career, General Donahue has deployed over 20 times in support of numerous operations including: Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, New Dawn, Inherent Resolve, Atlantic Resolve, Freedom's Sentinel, European Assure, Deter and Reinforce, and in support of the Sudan crisis. In addition to these deployments, General Donahue served as the 39th Commander of the XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division, and most recently as Commander of U.S. Army Europe and Africa. I had the pleasure of working alongside General Donahue during his time at Fort Bragg. During this time, we worked hand-in-hand to support the installation, improve readiness, soldier lethality, and build better lives for the servicemembers and their families who called the base home. I am proud to call General Donahue my friend and grateful for his service to our Nation. Mr. Speaker, please join me today in thanking General Donahue and commending the remarkable contributions he made to both the United States Army and our country throughout his career. ____________________
