Ms. LUMMIS (for herself and Mr. Barrasso) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill S. 4784, to authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2027 for military activities of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the end of subtitle D of title XXVIII add the following: SEC. 2873. EXPEDITED REVIEW OF LEASES FOR PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE PROJECT AT F.E. WARREN AIR FORCE BASE, WYOMING. (a) Findings.--Congress finds the following: (1) A project has been proposed connecting a new pedestrian bridge to on-base parking lot improvements at F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, opening more than 2,000 parking spaces for public use in connection with Cheyenne Frontier Days and the Greenway trail system of the City of Cheyenne, Wyoming. (2) That project has been approved by the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. (3) Funding for both the pedestrian bridge and the parking lot improvements has been secured by the City of Cheyenne and Cheyenne Frontier Days, Inc. (4) The leases required for the parking lot improvements and pedestrian bridge access have been approved by the Commander of F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyoming, and forwarded to Air Force Global Strike Command for further review. (b) Expedited Review Required.--Not later than 60 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Air Force shall expedite review of, and finalize, the leases described in subsection (a)(4). (c) Briefing Required.--Not later than 30 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Air Force shall provide to the congressional defense committees a briefing on the status of the leases described in subsection (a)(4), including any obstacles to completing review of such leases by the deadline described in subsection (b). ______
