MEASURES READ THE FIRST TIME--S. 3805, H.R. 1834, and H.R. 6500

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 27 (Monday, February 9, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 27 (Monday, February 9, 2026)] [Senate] [Page S537] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] MEASURES READ THE FIRST TIME--S. 3805, H.R. 1834, and H.R. 6500 Mr. BANKS. I understand that there are three bills at the desk, and I ask for the first reading en bloc. The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the bills by title for the first time. The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows: A bill (S. 3805) to amend chapter 93 of title 18, United States Code, to prohibit obstruction of immigration laws by official interference. A bill (H.R. 1834) to advance policy priorities that will break the gridlock. A bill (H.R. 6500) to extend duty-free treatment provided with respect to imports from certain countries in Africa under the African Growth and Opportunity Act, to extend customs user fees, and for other purposes. Mr. BANKS. I now ask for a second reading, and I object to my own request, all en bloc. The PRESIDING OFFICER. Objection having been heard, the bills will receive their second reading on the next legislative day. ____________________
