Mr. SULLIVAN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 331, to amend the Controlled Substances Act with respect to the scheduling of fentanyl-related substances, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. _____. LIMITATIONS. Section 401(b) of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 841(b)) is amended by adding at the end the following: ``(8) Notwithstanding section 3282 of title 18, United States Code, no person shall be prosecuted, tried, or punished for any violation of subsection (a) described in paragraph (1) of this subsection if death or serious bodily injury results from the use of such substance, unless the indictment is found or the information is instituted within 10 years next after such violation shall have been committed.''. ______
