Turner Secures Funding for Airports in District 10

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) announced that $1,812,000 in federal funds has been awarded to the James M. Cox Dayton International Airport (DAY) to refurbish lighting along Taxiway W and to rehabilitate parts of Taxiway W to minimize debris and to extend the useful life of this taxiway. Congressman Mike Turner also announced that the Greene County Regional Airport has been awarded $462,560 to reseal parts of the airport terminal and tiedown apron to extend the useful life of the facilities. "This federal investment for Dayton International Airport underscores the critical role our airport plays in the economic impact to the Miami Valley region," said Congressman Mike Turner. "The funding from the FAA will allow DAY to make the necessary renovations to extend the longevity of its taxiways for years to come." FY25 Airport Improvement Program Grant Awards: James M. Cox Dayton International Airport (DAY): $1,812,000 Greene County Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport (GDK): $462,560 Background: Both the Dayton International Airport and the Greene County Regional Airport received this funding through the FAAs Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The AIP program provides more than $3.18 billion in funding annually through entitlement and discretionary grant funds for more than 3,300 eligible airports.
