HONORING GLENN RITCHEY

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 13 (Tuesday, January 20, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 13 (Tuesday, January 20, 2026)] [House] [Page H941] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING GLENN RITCHEY (Mr. FINE asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. FINE. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize and honor Mr. Glenn Ritchey, a distinguished Floridian whose lifelong dedication to civic leadership, business excellence, and community service has left an indelible mark on Daytona Beach, the State of Florida, and the Nation. Mr. Ritchey is the former mayor of Daytona Beach, serving from 2006 to 2012. He contributed his time to a wide range of civic, educational, and charitable organizations. His service demonstrates a steadfast commitment to progress and public good. His accomplishments have been recognized with dozens of prestigious awards, including the United Way's Herbert M. Davidson Award for Outstanding Community Service and the NAACP Humanitarian of the Year Award. In 2019, he was honored for the 18th consecutive year as a GM Dealer of the Year, one of only three dealers in the Nation to hold that distinction. Glenn Ritchey is also a proud family man, with four children, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Speaker, it is a privilege to honor Glenn Ritchey for a life dedicated to service, leadership, and community. He embodies the very best of American citizenship, and I ask my colleagues to join me in recognizing his remarkable contributions. ____________________
