Mr. President, I rise today to recognize Diversified Energy on the occasion of its 25th anniversary and to commend the company, its employees, and the communities it serves for a quarter century of responsible energy production. Founded in 2001 by its current chief executive officer Rusty Hutson, Diversified Energy has grown into a recognized leader in the responsible management of low-decline natural gas and oil assets. Over 25 years, the company has shown that mature, long-life energy assets can be operated safely, efficiently, and sustainably while delivering reliable energy to families and businesses across the region. Diversified's model rests on long-term stewardship. By focusing on low-decline production, the company extends the productive life of existing wells, limits the need for new surface disturbance, and makes the most of resources that have already been developed. Their approach has also made measurable progress in reducing methane emissions. These efforts show that energy production and environmental responsibility can advance together. For 25 years, Diversified Energy has contributed to economic development, job creation, and energy reliability. Its success is also the success of the men and women who have built it and the communities that have supported it.
