Turner Announces Service Academy Nominations

DAYTON, OHIO - This weekend, Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) honored nine exceptional students from the Miami Valley who have received nominations to prestigious United States service academies. "We honored nine incredible students from our community that have answered the call to service of this great nation. There is nothing more honorable than serving your community and country." Said Congressman Mike Turner. "Every year I nominate students to these prestigious service academies, I have a renowned sense of hope, knowing that our country is in good hands with these future officers." This year, nine students received nominations from Congressman Turner and were accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point, the United States Naval Academy, and the United States Air Force academy. Each student underwent a rigorous selection process that included academic qualifications, character and leadership evaluations, physical and medical fitness assessments, and motivational interviews.
