Rep. Haridopolos: The State of the District Rep. Haridopolos: The State of the District Kaley.Stidham@… Wed, 01/14/2026 - 12:51 Washington, DC — U.S. Congressman Mike Haridopolos published an op-ed in Florida Today , highlighting the real results delivered for families across Florida’s 8th Congressional District in 2025 and outlining his priorities for the year ahead. In the op-ed, Congressman Haridopolos reflects on his first year in Congress and details his team’s focus on making government work for the people it serves. Key accomplishments include: Constituent services helping over 2,000 Floridians with federal agencies and recovering over $12.5 million owed directly to constituents. More than $25 million in federal funding secured for local projects, including safer railroad crossings, Indian River Lagoon restoration, and upgrades at Melbourne International Airport. Support for local jobs and businesses, including protecting Vero Beach–based Piper Aircraft and its workforce. Strong investments in space and workforce development, fully funding NASA, advancing American leadership in space, and launching a new aviation and manufacturing program at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School. Looking ahead to 2026, Congressman Haridopolos will continue advancing President Trump’s America First agenda by strengthening America’s leadership in space and innovation, lowering costs and cutting red tape to grow the economy, supporting law enforcement and border security, investing in smart infrastructure, and ensuring responsible leadership as emerging technologies like artificial intelligence reshape society. “We do not wait for tomorrow,” said Congressman Haridopolos. “We build it, right here on Florida’s Space and Treasure Coasts.” Read the full op-ed here . ### Congress Number 119th Congress January 14, 2026 Press Release February 27, 2026
