Promoting Resilient Operations for Transformative, Efficient, and Cost-Saving Transportation (PROTECT) - Formula Program

Funding : $7,299,999,998 (Connecticut is expected to receive $90,034,870 over five years) Description : Supports planning, resilience improvements, community resilience and evacuation routes, and at-risk coastal infrastructure. Eligible Recipients: Formula funding to States (including District of Columbia) Eligible Uses: States may use PROTECT Formula Program funds to conduct resilience planning, strengthen and protect evacuation routes, and increase the resilience of surface transportation infrastructure from the impacts of sea level rise, flooding, wildfires, extreme weather events, and other natural disasters.
