Internships Internships Image admin Fri, 01/03/2025 - 18:02 INTERNSHIPS 2026 Summer Internship applications for our Washington, DC and District office are now CLOSED. Please check back in for more information about 2026 Fall Internship opportunites. We offer both paid and unpaid internships and internships can be used for academic credits. Applicants may apply to one or both offices. Please read the information below carefully to help decide where to apply. Washington, DC In the Washington, DC office, our hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In Washington, DC, interns' responsibilities will vary. They will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office. Additionally, our Washington, DC office designates one spot for a Digital Media intern. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced communications team in a congressional office while gaining valuable experience in public service and digital strategy. District Office In the District office, our hours are flexible to accommodate students' hectic course schedules but generally run 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In the District office, interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent case work or work on District-based projects of importance.
