Mr. BLUMENTHAL submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 2, to provide for reconciliation pursuant to title II of S. Con. Res. 33.; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. _____. PROHIBITION ON JUDGMENT FUND BEING USED TO SETTLE CERTAIN CLAIMS RELATED TO JANUARY 6, 2021. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, none of the amounts appropriated under section 1304 of title 31, United States Code, or under any other Act may be used to settle claims related to the attack on the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021, with any person convicted of committing sedition or seditious conspiracy in connection with the attack. ______
