Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 146 (Wednesday, September 16, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 146 (Wednesday, September 16, 2026)] [Extensions of Remarks] [Page E946] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] HONORING TEXAS-24 HOMETOWN HEROS CORRIGAN AND CANNON CAMP ______ HON. BETH VAN DUYNE of texas in the house of representatives Wednesday, September 16, 2026 Ms. VAN DUYNE. Mr. Speaker, I rise to recognize our Texas-24 Hometown Heros, Corrigan and Cannon Camp, 9-year-old twins from Fort Worth, who reminded all of us what it means to lead with compassion and action. After devastating floods hit Central Texas and damaged Camp Mystic, where Corrigan had just spent time this summer, they felt called to help. With determined spirits, the siblings set up a lemonade and cookie stand in their neighborhood. By the end of the day they had raised over $5,000, donating every cent to Camp Mystic to support recovery efforts and honor the lives lost. They even sold ``Tweety Cookies,'' a special Camp Mystic tradition, in tribute to owner and Executive Director Dick Eastland, who lost his life saving campers during the flood. I thank Corrigan and Cannon for showing Texas-24 what it means to serve others with faith, kindness, and courage. Their generosity shines brightly. ____________________
