Haridopolos Highlights Indian River Lagoon Restoration Efforts During Committee Hearing Kaley.Stidham@… Thu, 06/04/2026 - 10:51 Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Congressman Mike Haridopolos (FL-08) waived on to the House Science, Space and Technology’s Environment Subcommittee, where he highlighted ongoing efforts to restore the Indian River Lagoon, combat harmful algal blooms, and explore innovative technologies to improve water quality. During the hearing, Haridopolos emphasized the importance of bipartisan cooperation and scientific innovation in addressing environmental challenges facing Florida's waterways. “The Indian River Lagoon is a national treasure and an economic engine for Florida's Space Coast.
