Comer Announces 2026 Congressional Art Competition for 1st District High School Students

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) is inviting all high school students in Kentucky's 1st Congressional District to participate in the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. The annual competition provides local students with an opportunity to showcase their creativity and compete for national recognition. The winning artwork from Kentucky's 1st District will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol as part of a national exhibit featuring artwork from congressional districts across the United States. "I encourage every high school student in Kentucky's 1st District with an interest in art to participate in this year's competition," said Congressman Comer. "The Congressional Art Competition is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talent, gain national recognition, and represent Kentucky in the United States Capitol. I look forward to seeing the incredible creativity this year." Each spring, Members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a nationwide high school arts competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent from across the country. The competition is open to all high school students residing in Kentucky's 1st Congressional District. Artwork may be mailed to or dropped off at Congressman Comer's District Offices. All entries must be received no later than Monday, April 20, 2026.
