McBath Announces Winners of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition

Atlanta, GA - This weekend, Rep. Lucy McBath (GA-06) hosted students and their families at the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville for her 2026 Sixth District Congressional Art Competition reception and awards ceremony. During the event, she announced the top 3 winners for this year's competition. "I am so proud of how well-represented our entire district was in this competition," McBath said . "It is a joy each year to celebrate the talent and creativity on display by young people in our community. I give thanks to their parents and teachers who helped inspire a love of the arts at such a young age. Congratulations to our winners and to all our competing students!" This year's competition received 25 submissions from 10 high schools across Georgia's Sixth Congressional District. Schools represented in the competition were Atlanta Classical Academy, Atlanta International School, Chapel Hill High School, Creekside High School, Douglas County High School, The Galloway School, McEachern High School, New Manchester High School, North Atlanta High School, and Woodward Academy. The winners of the Sixth District 2026 Congressional Art Competition are: Third Place: Amya Newell, Crossandra (McEachern High School) Second Place: Tim Wang, Still Face (Woodward Academy) First Place: Sarah Vinnik, Out of The Moment (North Atlanta High School) Pictured above: Rep. McBath, Tim Wang, and Sarah Vinnik The first-place winner of the competition will have their work displayed in the Cannon Tunnel at the U.S. Capitol. The second-place winner will have their work displayed in Rep. McBath's Washington, D.C. office. The third-place winner will have their work displayed in Rep. McBath's Atlanta district office.
