LAMB (Mr. BOST asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. BOST. Mr. Speaker, I rise today in honor of Lieutenant Colonel Matthew A. Lamb, United States Marine Corps, a native of Connersville, Indiana, who is retiring after more than 25 years of faithful service to our Nation. Lieutenant Colonel Lamb enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in May of 2000 as a field radio operator and deployed with the 5th Battalion, 11th Marines during Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the Combat Action Ribbon. He commissioned in May of 2006 as an adjutant and later deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, as a G-1 mentor to the 201st Corps of the Afghanistan National Army. Over the two decades, he commanded a recruit training company at MCRD San Diego and served in key staff billets at MCRD Paris Island, Headquarters Marine Corps, and the United States Marine Corps Forces South. He is a distinguished graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff College and holds a degree from the University of Indianapolis and Syracuse University. His final tour brought him to Capitol Hill as deputy director for House Affairs in the Marine Corps Office of Legislative Affairs, where he served as the Corps' principal interlocutor for the House Committee on Veterans' Affairs. I had the privilege of working with him directly. I wish him well in his retirement, and I thank him for his service. Semper Fidelis. ____________________
