Tillis, Budd Applaud Senate Confirmation of Two NC Judges

WASHINGTON, D.C . - Today, U.S. Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC) and Ted Budd (R-NC) applauded the Senate's confirmation of David Bragdon and Lindsey Freeman to serve on the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina. Both nominees were recommended by Senators Tillis and Budd. "David Bragdon and Lindsey Freeman are exceptionally qualified, and I'm grateful my colleagues joined me in confirming them to serve the people of North Carolina," said Senator Tillis . "Throughout this process, I've remained committed to advancing judges who uphold the Constitution, apply the law fairly, and serve with integrity. I appreciate the White House's partnership in identifying strong candidates, and I look forward to seeing both Judge Bragdon and Judge Freeman bring their experience and dedication to the federal bench." "Today, the great state of North Carolina gained two accomplished and highly competent jurists on the federal bench," said Senator Budd . "I look forward to seeing the great work Judge David Bragdon and Judge Lindsey Freeman will do as they uphold the rule of law and defend the Constitution in the Middle District. I am proud to have worked alongside President Trump to secure their confirmations." Background : David Bragdon currently serves as the Appellate Chief for a U.S. Attorneys' Office. Mr. Bragdon previously clerked for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas and served as the U.S. Department of Justice's Resident Legal Advisor for the Philippines. Lindsey Freeman currently serves as an Assistant U.S. Attorney. Ms. Freeman previously clerked for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, was Of Counsel at the law firm O'Melveny & Myers LLP, and served in senior roles at the U.S. Department of Justice. ###
