Washington, D.C. — Today, Representatives Jim Himes (CT-04), Josh Gottheimer (NJ-05), and Chris Pappas (NH-01), introduced the Multi-State Worker Tax Fairness Act. The bill would establish a uniform standard for taxing income based on physical presence in a state. In doing so, the bill prohibits a state from taxing a nonresident’s income earned when the individual was not physically in that state.
