Mr. SANDERS (for himself, Ms. Alsobrooks, and Mr. Van Hollen) submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill H.R. 6938, making consolidated appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2026, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title IV of division C, insert the following: prohibition on use of funds for naming federal property after sitting president Sec. __. No funds made available by any division of this Act may be used to name, rename, designate, or redesignate any Federal building, land, or other asset in the name of a sitting President. ______
