DelBene on Swalwell, Gonzales Resignations

Today, Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (WA-01) released the following statement: “Survivors of sexual assault deserve to be believed, supported, and have a clear, timely path to justice. Their voices and their courage to speak out must be at the center of this conversation. “Justice requires accountability, especially for Members of Congress who are entrusted to uphold the honor and respect of their constituents. The recent resignations by Reps. Swalwell and Gonzales are a step toward accountability, but only the beginning. Public service demands integrity. “I will continue to support all survivors of sexual assault and work to build a system that holds those who commit these insidious crimes accountable.”
